Criminal Records Bureau and ISA Working Group

The network is aimed at professionals within local authorities who have a CRB/ISA role and would welcome advice, support, clarification and an opportunity to share ideas.

To inform attendees of CRB and ISA developments, experiences from other organisations, provide an update on pressing issues and to keep abreast of further developments.

With the introduction of the ISA and the move towards the new Vetting and Barring scheme, members of the forum have utilised the network to good affect over the past year. Furthermore, the group continues to dovetail constructively with Local Government National Consultative Group and inter-relationship between the two bodies is recognised and valued by the CRB. In addition to discussing broad policy issues, the workng group also continues to provide the opporrtunity for member to discuss and exchange views and opinions on practical day to day CRB related matters which is of equal importance to the group.
