Employing Foreign Nationals - A guide for Small and Medium Enterprises

East Midlands Strategic Migration Partnership is hosting a half day event focusing on the employment of foreign nationals.

This event is free and supported by East Midlands Strategic Migration Partnership, Jobcentreplus, UKBA and ACAS

Speakers from the UK Border Agency, Jobcentreplus, Gangmasters’ Licensing Authority and ACAS will cover 

  • Understanding your liabilities under immigration law
  • Points Based System
  • Forthcoming changes to the Points Based System for
  • existing Sponsors
  • How to collect and retain the correct documentation
  • How to recruit foreign nationals
  • Discrimination
  • Jobcentre Plus – Employer Offer
  • HMRC real time information system

This event will allow you to assess your immigration, recruitment and vetting procedures and get to grips with changes by discussing any problems or queries with our recruitment and immigration professionals from ACAS, Jobcentreplus and the UK Border Agency.

 In addition there will be an opportunity to learn about the new HMRC real time information system.

Light refreshments will be available (no lunch)

The event is supported by Jobcentreplus and is free but places are limited.
