Healthcare needs of those resettled via the Syrian Vulnerable Resettlement Programme (SVPR)

EMC is running an event on the Healthcare needs of those resettled via the Syrian Vulnerable Resettlement Programme (SVPR).  The course will cover and will be run by Doctors of the World UK:

  • A discussion around the context of Syria and the resettlement programme
  • Initial healthcare assessments for new arrivals identifying key needs and opportunities for health promotion and preventative interventions
  • A focus on mental health and psychosocial support for Syrian refugees

Who is it for?

  • GP’s registering Syrian refugees
  • CCG/LA staff involved in care planning for refugees arriving through the programme

1pm – 4.30pm. Registration and refreshments at 12.30pm. (Please note lunch will not be provided.  However there is a cafe at Pera and also Sainsburys across the road)
