EMC has been successful in securing ERDF technical assistance to develop a ‘socio-economic framework’ which will influence and inform the development of the 2014-2020 ERDF Programme.
The framework will identify investment opportunities at both sub-regional and regional level that will maximise the economic impact of European investment in the East Midlands. It will comprise an over-arching summary document supported by 3 prospectuses focusing on:
The project will adopt a collegiate approach, working closely with LEPs, councils, universities, chambers of commerce, business, the voluntary and community sectors, to ensure that local strengths and opportunities are fully understood.
The outcome of the framework - which will be prepared by end of 2013 - will be a future ERDF programme that reflects the needs of the local economies of the East Midlands, with strong alignment between the activities of local partners and objectives of the programme. Further information relating to this Project will appear here shortly.
