East Midland Jobs (www.eastmidlandsjobs.org.uk) is a one stop website for local authorities in the East Midlands to post their jobs. The site is now live and a number of authorities within the East Midlands have been implemented. Watch this space as more authorities come onboard!!
There are two systems that local authorities can choose from:
Portal Lite
This puts your vacancies onto a searchable database available to jobseekers everywhere, ensuring exposure to the widest audience. Jobseekers are directed back to the authorities website to apply. There is also the facility for your Human Resources administrators to upload vacancy information from your own system
Portal Plus
This is a full online recruitment system designed for the public sector. It incorporates all the features of Portal Lite along with advanced applicant tracking and management features.
The features include complete applicant workflow design including:
- pre-screening questions to quickly identify potential candidates
- customisable online application forms
- incorporated reference checking
- customisable email templates for branded communications
- offline application upload for those with limited online access and
- fully customisable permissions for user accounts.
It’s the complete recruitment and retention solution for the public sector.
Who can join?
Authorities who are members of East Midlands Councils are eligible to join the portal for free until December 2011. From January 2012 a subscription model will operate. Compared to the cost of advertising and/or managing redeployment, these subscription costs will be very attractive.
East Midlands Recruitment Portal is part of a larger project initiated and managed by the North East Improvement and Efficiency Partnership. As part of this project, the following portals are available in the other regions:
