The Steering Group steers the direction of Local Government Services Work Plan which will address issues across sub regional partnership working by supporting the HR community by working collectively and by sharing ideas of good practice. The Steering Group are able to influence the agenda for the specialist group meetings, sourcing any specialist speakers, programming in any consultation events and speakers on national issues.
The Steering Group is comprised of the Chairs of the County Groups, Directors of HR in County and Unitary Local Authorities and PPMA.
Chair of Strategic HR Steering Group: Sam Maher, East Midlands Councils
The Group will meet quarterly in the first year to determine a work programme to meet the wider HR needs for the region and six monthly thereafter. The various representatives have been asked to consult with their network members on their key learning and development needs. The meetings will be arranged to enable the region to contribute to discussions at the National Association of Regional Employers (NARE) meetings.
