Hitting the Ground Running: Development session for newly elected Councillors

What is the aim of the event?

The event is to give you a wider perspective on your role, enable you to meet newly elected councillors from other local authorities, and learn about the support available from the Local Government Association (LGA) and East Midlands Councils (EMC) so as to help you hit the ground running in your role.

The programme will enable you to do this through exploring what your role means, learning about the evolving national policy context and challenges facing councils, as well as hearing from experienced councillors on their top tips and unrivalled insights to help equip you in your role for the months ahead.

The session is free and lunch will be provided.  A programme for the day is attached below.
