East Midlands Rail Summit, Friday 10 October 2014

The East Midlands Rail Summit, organised by East Midlands Councils took place on Friday 10 October 2014, in Loughborough.  The event featured highprofile speakers and explored the future of rail in the East Midlands.  The event was chaired by Pete Waterman, rail enthusiast and member of the HS2 Growth Task Force. 

The event was an opportunity for key decision makers from the region to meet and discuss the importance of rail to the regional and local economy and to raise the profile at a national level.  The event made the case for greater rail investment into the East Midlands.
