Coaching for Resilience

EMC is holding a Coaching CPD session on 7 March on Coaching for Resilience. 

Session Flow

This session has two objectives: 

  • To support coaches, develop and challenge their understanding of what personal resilience is; its core components and attributes.
  • To help coaches learn about a variety of practical and evidence-based techniques that they can integrate into their practice to help not only their client’s, but also their own personal resilience and well-being.

Facilitator details

ElaineimagejpegElain's interest in resiliency over many years, has led to collaborative development with a fellow coach of a contemporary model and framework, which they have introduced to a wide range of organisations. A sample of client and associate client projects that she works with around the resilience and well-being agenda, include the NHS, TUI destination services, Institute and faculty of actuaries, Nottingham city homes, Nestle, Hedley May, Laterooms, and CPI international.Elaine is a long-standing meditator and is currently undertaking training as a mindfulness and compassion teacher, which aligns perfectly with her interest in the resilience and well-being field.

She is a longstanding member of the European and mentoring coaching council (EMCC UK) and presents regularly at regional and national conferences on themes related to leadership development, coaching and resilience.

As a facilitator, her style is engaging, warm and incisive, underpinned by many years of credible and relevant experience in a wide variety of organisational settings.

Elaine Akester is a highly experienced leadership and executive coach with 16 years of continual practice. She works predominantly with senior leaders and their teams, in three main areas: Leadership brand and personal impact, emotional intelligence development and resilience & well-being.

Elaine will share her experience of working with individuals and teams in both the public and private sector to bring real depth and stimulating thinking to this highly pertinent theme in organisations. There will be opportunities for participants to engage in practical emintell logoactivities designed to deepen their understanding around coaching for personal resilience. 

Costs

Free – to coaches in the East Midlands Coaching Network. 

£35 + VAT – for authorities subscribed to the network is (where individuals aren’t coaches in the network)

£95 + VAT members of East Midlands Councils Coaches outside of the network are welcome to attend these events for the very cost effective prices described above

What is the East Midlands Coaching Network?

The East Midlands Coaching Network is a regional network of coaches across the East Midlands, supported by East Midlands Councils and facilitated by an online coaching management and development system.

The East Midlands Coaching Network will help organisations build internal coaching capacity and enable people to access trained and experienced coaches from other local authorities and partner organisations to support performance, improvement and personal development at very low cost.
