East Midlands Housing Review – Building our Future

There is no doubt that we are facing a national housing crisis with the need for housing far exceeding the supply of decent, affordable homes.

In partnership with the National Housing Federation and local housing providers, East Midlands Councils has set out many of the key housing challenges in the region, the changing housing landscape (including the potential impact of the Housing and Planning Act) and to identify where we need to do better at both a local and national level in order to provide more housing for people who are looking for a home of their own.

On Wednesday 15th June at BioCity Nottingham, a housing summit of local authorities and housing providers will be held to explore these issues; to look at the changing housing market in the East Midlands, the future of social housing provision, and the potential for further innovation in delivering good, sustainable housing and regeneration programmes.
