Coaching Strategy Action Learning Set

East Midlands Councils is hosting a Coaching Strategy Action Learning Set this autumn / winter.  Using Action Learning methodology those taking part will be able to focus on developing their organisational Coaching Strategy.  Taking place across three separate sessions in September, November and December, those taking part will be able to work on their unique challenge with the support of a wider group.

Action Learning is a reflective and questioning technique developed to aid in the understanding of problems experienced in a work environment.  Action learning uses questioning insight to explore problems and identify options to deal with issues and actions to be taken.  It’s more than a technique though, it’s also the process of bringing thinking and action into harmony. Learning is a continuous process and is best achieved with an open, probing mind, an ability to listen, question and explore ideas and options.

An action learning set will provide an opportunity for individuals to reflect on where they are now, and what they have learnt from the experience.  It focuses on areas where individuals want to make progress, perhaps exploring work challenges where they feel stuck, or need space to be able to refocus and move forward.

Through reflection, we gain a deeper understanding of the issues we face. This enables us to manage change more effectively and meet the challenges we face in the workplace.

Action Learning Set dates

The Action Learning Set will take place over three dates this autumn, those booking a place on the Action Learning Set will need to attend all sessions.

  • 22 September 2021 - 13:30 - 16:30
  • 2 November 2021 - 09:30- 12:30
  • 16 December 2021 - 13:30-16:30
