Mediation & Conflict Resolution Skills

3 Day ILM Endorsed Programme

Tuesday 31 October to Thursday 2 November 2017

Mediation and Conflict Resolution

East Midlands Councils together with experienced practitioners from South East Employers are providing an opportunity to undertake a 3 day ILM endorsed programme in Mediation and Conflict Resolution which will give you the skills and confidence to undertake mediation from initial meeting with the parties to closure, following a mediation model.

The course is designed to be intensive and participatory to enable the development of skills, competence and confidence to either simply improve your skills in dealing with difficult situations through to supporting a mediation service within your workplace. The skills covered are those required by an effective mediator.

The programme is delivered over 3 consecutive face to face training days and the tutors use a variety of delivery methods that include formal instructive sessions, practical exercises, individual and group work. The programme follows the ACAS mediation model which provides a robust and well tested framework for dealing with a range of complex workplace situations and conflicts.
