The Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government (MHCLG) have announced Hong Kong BN(O) funding for voluntary and community sectors. The purpose of the funding is to enable VCRS organisations and groups in developing local projects which will support the integration of Hong Kong BN(O) visa holders and their families into their local communities.

The key aims of the funding is to assist Hong Kong BN(O) visa holders in accessing statutory services, signposting to support services, and supporting integration into the local community.

Each region has been allocated a proportion of a £1.4m funding envelope based on the estimated numbers expected to settle in the East Midlands. The region has been allocated £90,000.

Successful bids will be expected to run between October 2021 until March 2022.

The deadline for applications is Wednesday 1st September. Applications for the East Midlands will need to be submitted to brein.fisher@emcouncils.gov.uk
