ILM Level 2 Award in Leadership & Team Skills (4 days)
Overview & Who Should Attend
This course is suitable for both established team leaders and those who find themselves newly promoted into a team leader role and is designed to help navigate the issues related to managing and co-ordinating the work of small teams. It covers all of the core elements required to build confidence when managing others including how to set and manage goals for individuals and teams, communicate effectively, give timely feedback in the right way and create conditions for productive working. The course does not have any formal entry requirements, however participants must be either practising or potential team leaders in order to be able to gain the most from the course in terms of applying the learning and obtaining feedback from the workplace for development purposes. The course is delivered in a practical way to appeal to a variety of learning styles and to encourage participation.
What to expect from the course delivery
The course covers the core elements which we believe are critical to excel in a team leader or supervisor role and not just the elements which the ILM require to pass the qualification. We will deliver the topics in a participative and engaging way using case studies and real life examples which ensures relevance and practical application within the workplace.

- Be more competent and confident when managing small teams of people within the workplace.
- Have learned techniques to enhance performance of individuals and teams through motivation, delegation and allocation of work.
- Be able to communicate more effectively to individuals and teams including briefing others
