IOM UK Kurdish Information Session

This session’s content will cover the geography, history, and society amongst the Kurdish community spread across Turkey, Syria, Iraq, and Iran. The session will discuss experiences that Kurdish communities may face in different conflicts in the different countries where they live. It will also discuss the experiences Kurds may face in displacement within and outside their countries of origin. Finally, this session will focus on the cultural norms and experiences with services that may be common in the Kurdish community across Turkey, Syria, Iraq, and Iran.

This session will be participatory and rely heavily on participant engagement through case studies and discussion, therefore we highly encourage participants to come prepared to have their cameras on during the session.

The cost of the training is FREE. The events will be held on Wednesday 7th February 2024, 10am to 12:30pm via Zoom

Cancellations: All cancellations should be notified by e-mail prior to the closing date. Please note that all cancellations after the closing date will be charged at the seminar rate even if you have not provided a purchase order number. Submission of a booking form or online booking denotes acceptance of this condition. Should you have to cancel after the closing date, you can avoid this cancellation fee by substituting someone to attend in your place. For events/webinars which are free to attend, a cancellation fee of £50 + VAT will be charged if cancelled after the closing date and a substitute cannot be found. Further details on terms and conditions of bookings are below.
