IOM UK Sudan Information Session Geography, Society, Current Events, Cultural Norms

30 September 2025, 10:00AM – 12:00PM 

This session will primarily focus on Sudan’s geography, history, and current events, as well as the cultural norms of Sudanese society both within Sudan and in neighbouring countries. It will also explore the experiences of Sudanese communities in displacement, both within Sudan and abroad, including their experiences with services in these contexts. This session will be participatory and rely heavily on participant engagement through case studies and discussion, therefore we highly encourage participants to come prepared to have their cameras on during the session.

IOM UK Sudan Information Session: Experiences in Displacement and Services

This session’s content will focus primarily on experiences that the Sudanese communities may face in displacement within and outside their country of origin. This session will also focus on the Sudanese community’s experiences with services both while in displacement and in their country of origin. This session will be participatory and rely heavily on participant engagement through case studies and discussion; therefore, we highly encourage participants to come prepared to have their cameras on during the session.
