Summary & Registration

IOM UK Sudan Information Session: Geography, Society, Current Events, Cultural Norms and Experiences in Displacement

Tuesday 2nd June 2026, 10:00AM – 12:30PM 

This session will primarily focus on Sudan’s geography, history, and current events, as well as the cultural norms of Sudanese society both within Sudan and in neighbouring countries. It will also explore the experiences of Sudanese communities in displacement, both within Sudan and abroad, including their experiences with services in these contexts. This session will be participatory and rely heavily on participant engagement through case studies and discussion, therefore we highly encourage participants to come prepared to have their cameras on during the session.
