The East Midlands Strategic Migration Partnership (SMP) chairs the quarterly regional NRPF Network meeting.

Delegates include representatives from Local Authorities, Home Office, Health and voluntary sector partners and provides a forum to highlight policy changes and address current pressures relating to individuals being support by Local Authorities.

The national NRPF Network website ( ) is a comprehensive resource relating to NRPF including guidance for councils, training and case law.

What is NRPF?

Section 115 of the Immigration and Asylum Act 1999 states that a person will have ‘no recourse to public funds’ if they are ‘subject to immigration control’.
