Midlands Connect is a partnership of LEPs and councils from across the Midlands that have come together develop and implement a strategic transport strategy for the Midlands. Midlands Connect acts as the Sub-National Transport Body for the Midlands.
Midlands Connect and Transport for the East Midlands (TfEM) have agreed a joint statement of investment priorities for the East Midlands:
- Making the most of HS2
- A Midland Mainline fit for the 21st Century
- Improving access to East Midlands Airport
- A46 Growth Corridor & Newark
- A5 Growth Corridor
- Transforming East-West Connectivity
Members agreed to nominate the following to the Midlands Connect Strategic Board for 2019/20:

EMC's Director of Policy & Infrastructure Andrew Pritchard is seconded 2 days a week to the Midlands Connect Secretariat.
