Caretakers Lettings Fees

The East Midlands Regional Joint Council has agreed an increase to Caretakers’ Letting Fees with effect from 1st April 2025.

Caretakers’ Letting Fees were reviewed by East Midlands Regional Joint Council on 9th October 2025.  The Joint Council agreed to increase the rates by 3.2% with effect from 1st April 2025.  The revised rates can be found here Caretakers lettings fees April 2025

Youth & Community Workers

2025 Youth & Community Pay Claim 2025

2024 Pay Awards – Youth & Community Workers Pay Award 

Agreement has been reached nationally for a pay award for Youth & Community Workers for 2024. The Agreement provides a pay increase of £1290 for all Youth and Community Workers in England and Wales. This pay award should be backdated to 1 September 2024 .  A copy of the Circular with the details of the agreement is available through the following link: Pay Agreement

2023 Pay Award – Youth and Community Workers

Agreement has been reached in December 2023 for a pay award for 2023 for Youth and Community Workers.  The agreement is for:-

  • an increase of £1925 on all spinal column points on the Youth and Community Support Worker Range and the Professional Range from 1 September 2023.
  • An increase of 3.88% on the London Area Allowances and Sleeping-In-Duty Allowance from 1 September 2023.

Soulbury Officers’ Pay Agreement

21st Feb 2025 – The Soulbury Committee has reached a pay settlement for 2024. This is a 2.5% increase on all pay points and allowances backdated to 1 September 2024. There will be further Joint Secretarial discussions on reviews of the SPA system and London Area Payments.

Coroners

6.8.25 –  In the absence of a national pay mechanism for determining coroners’ pay in England & Wales, the management side of the JNC conducted a consultation survey of local authorities who have an interest in coroners’ pay. Forty-four
responses were received from a total of seventy-four LA contacts (once duplicates were removed) giving a response rate of 59 per cent.  The circular can be found JNC Circular no 71 – Coroners’ Pay 2025-26 – 6 August 2025.

24.4.25 – Following on from the LGA’s letter to inform you of the coroners’ withdrawal from the
joint pay negotiating machinery from 1 April 2025 here, an updated circular has been issued to inform that the management side remains committed to a nationally agreed, consistent approach to pay negotiations.

19 Dec 2024 – Agreement has now been reached on the 2024/25 pay award for Coroners. With effect from 1 April 2024, local salaries and day rates for individuals derived from the JNC arrangements should be increased by 2.50 per cent. On 16 Feb 2023 the pay award for 2022-2023 for Coroners from the Joint Negotiating Committee has been agreed as 1.56% with effect from 1 April 2022.  A copy of the circular can be found here .
