LGA Webinar Programme 19/20 - Registration Links for Nov/Dec Sessions
The LGA is pleased to announce the launch of our 2019/20 Apprenticeships Webinar Programme. Following on from our successful programme in 18/19, we are again working with our friends at Spark to run a series of webinars between November and March covering key topic areas for the sector, ranging from Levy Transfers to Procurement and Provider Management to Schools. Our topics have been selected by you from the most popular issues raised by councils responding to our survey in September.

Apprenticeships in our Region Event - 11 June 2019
The recent Apprenticeships update and learning event which took place on 11 June 2019 was well received by attendees who had the opportunity to hear from the ESFA and the LGA on the latest developments and funded support available.

Off-the-Job Training Guidance
The ESFA has circulated draft policy background information and examples as guidance relating to the 20% off-the-job training element required within apprenticeships. The document can be accessed here.
Apprenticeship support from the LGA
Jamie Saddler, Apprenticeship Adviser at the LGA, attended the East Midlands Regional Joint Council meeting that took place on 21st September 2018. Jamie gave an update on apprenticeships, including support available to councils. A copy of Jamie’s presentation can be accessed here .
EMC is arranging an event for the region on apprenticeships to provide an opportunity to share approaches and with a view to identify opportunities for councils to work together with EMC’s support, to access future funding opportunities that will arise next Spring.
