East Midlands Councils has been awarded additional targeted funding by the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government to support the capacity-building and coordination of ESOL in the region.
As part of its ongoing commitment to supporting ESOL providers in the East Midlands to network and collaborate more effectively, East Midlands Councils seeks to appoint a partner to:
This includes:
- Provide technical and advisory support to five locally-led ESOL forums across the region
- Support the implementation of key strategic recommendations, as outlined in the ESOL in the East Midlands report (Benchmarking ESOL in the East Midlands)
- Convene a region-wide ‘good practice’ event to unify and share sub-regional workstrands
- Support the development and maintenance of online ESOL resources, including mapping of provision, qualifications, and progression routes
The awarded contract will be valued at £50,000, and will run to the 31st March 2026, with the possibility of further extension.
The deadline for submission of tenders is 17:00 on Monday 15th September. Bidders will be notified of the outcome on Monday 22nd September.
